If you are asking yourself how to become a skipper, this is the course for you.
This school was created to fulfil the need for qualified, professional and competent skippers of charter companies; a course created, formatted and executed using the decade of experience and requirements of a charter company, MadMax charter is not a sailing school!
MadMax charter teaches its skippers with a 21 day full immersion course, living on board the catamaran, using actual experiences, replicating a typical holiday, inserting real technical and practical events and problems which could occur on board, resolving them in real time.
Furthermore the students will spend tens of hours performing maneuvers in the bay and the port at the limit of conditions, resolving the thousands of variable situations the sea can present.
Our students will deal with many issues, all very real, there are no theoretical explanations thrown in for brevity;
For example, when we explain how to fix the little electric motor on the toilet, we first dismantle the toilet and motor because this is what the skipper would find in reality, then he will be shown how to fix it, quickly, between one stop and the next.
To this end, each student will receive a ‘trolley’ tool kit, containing the tools required to fix most of the problems that can occur on board a vessel.
Another case containing epoxy resin, mats, underwater putty, welder, drill, angle grinder, and sail repair kit will complete the equipment (included in the price) supplied to those who complete the course, qualified at that point to enter the world of charter.
The MaxMax skipper, hired by the charter company, will go on board with their own tool kit and repair materials ready for action, representing a highly specialized professional, person not yet present in the nautical sector.
